Position Summary

Scan tickets and properly complete paperwork; stack and un-stack totes; move totes throughout the plant; housekeeping, including keeping work area neat and organized; conducting daily forklift checks; wash, line, and/or repair totes to ready for use; test brine strength and make adjustments; operate lines as needed; and maintain outdoor area, including mowing lawn.

Essential Functions

• Scan tote tickets to help maintain inventory accuracy


• Attach proper tote tickets to maintain inventory accuracy


• Weigh product and record weight on tickets


• Stack and un-stack totes


• Maintain forklift as required


• Operate forklift safely at all times


• Complete daily forklift check list


• Change propane as needed


• Repair totes


• Test brine strength and make necessary adjustments


• Housekeeping of plant; mowing of lawn


• Other duties as assigned

• Frequent standing and walking


• Some climbing, bending, stooping, and twisting


• Lifting and/or pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds


• Must wear respiratory protection equipment when performing certain work

Work Environment

The work environments listed here are representative of those that may be encountered by employee while performing the functions of this job:

• Wet or humid conditions


• Extreme temperatures


• Exposure to sulfur dioxide in both liquid (brine) and gas state.


• Exposure to calcium hydroxide (lime).


• Exposure to cleaning chemicals
