Dot's Pretzels is currently hiring Warehouse Lead in our Edgerton, KS facility. The lead position is an hourly position in a fast-paced production environment. The position is responsible for maintaining a team environment, tracking accurate packaging and mixing storage of food products, cleaning the work area, following all health and safety regulations, and other assigned duties.

Current open position are on the D Shift - Week 1, Wed - Sat 5p - 5a, Week 2, Thurs - Sat 5p - 5a. Please attach a resume with your application to be considered for this position.

Pay:

* Starting pay is $24.75 with potential of earning up to $26.75 for eligible shifts

* Sign-on Bonus totaling $2000 for eligible candidates

Job Summary

The Warehouse Lead is the keeper of all incoming materials and outgoing orders necessary to run the operation. He or she is responsible to ensure all materials coming into and exiting the building are of high accuracy and quality. The Warehouse Lead will also maintain the inventory of the plant and communicate with other facilities to schedule the shipping or retrieving of product and raw goods.

Job Duties Include

  • Follow all FDA health and OSHA safety regulations
  • Lead and direct members of the warehouse team on tasks to be met each day
  • Coach team on important aspects of the business (quality, safety, sanitation, productivity)
  • Maintain good attendance and set example for the team to do the same
  • Fill out all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
  • Prepare product orders to meet pick-up demands
  • Create accurate shipping labels and packing slips
  • Pick the right product from inventory and packaging using the correct material
  • Physically prepare and load all freight orders for pickup
  • Properly document receipts of incoming materials, checking packing slips for accuracy
  • Ensure that all product entering or leaving the building meets quality standards
  • Coordinate with Operations and Shipping to ensure order timelines are met.
  • Organize material storage in the warehouse to prevent clutter
  • Work with processing and packaging to provide their necessary materials for daily operation
  • Understand Warehouse Management system at a high level for inventory management purposes.
  • Perform end of month tracking to cycle all inventory to 100% accuracy
  • Conduct inventory reconciliation on a daily basis
  • Keep physical track of inventory and communicate to order what is needed
  • Communicate with other Dot's plants on shipping of raw goods and receiving of finished product
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse
  • Perform inspection of the premises and ensure that any hazardous conditions are eradicated
  • Assist in areas of production as needed
  • Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other personnel and management
  • Represent self and company in a professional and positive manner
  • Attend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussion
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.
  • Certified forklift operator required
  • Ability to utilize a computer and various software
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidate must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds repetitively
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand on your feet for an entire shift
  • Exposed to food production environment and warehouse environment which may involve noise and fluctuating temperatures.
