*Job Overview:*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Purchasing Assistant. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our procurement and supply chain management processes. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with purchasing activities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
*Responsibilities:*
- Assist with the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and negotiating contracts
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and other relevant documentation
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs and requirements
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining relationships with key suppliers
- Support the implementation and maintenance of procurement systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS
- Assist in analyzing market trends and conducting research on potential suppliers
- Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate transportation and delivery of goods
*Qualifications:*
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Familiarity with procurement software such as SAP or Oracle EBS is highly desirable
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
