Clinical Scientist Intern will support the Late Development Immunology team and will support further business, operational and clinical excellence in Immunology. Assist Clinical Scientist, Study Responsible Scientist (SRS), &/or Study Responsible Physician (SRP) in various clinical research assigned Immunology Development clinical trials. Scope of work will include tasks associated with the execution, monitoring, and reporting of late-phase clinical trials evaluating therapeutics in immune-mediated dermatologic, gastrointestinal, rheumatologic diseases, or rare diseases. The range of tasks will include activities assigned by the Clinical Lead, Clinical Scientist and/or study physician, and may vary to some degree depending on the therapeutic area and trial-specific requirements.

Location: J&J Flex to Spring House, PA (3 days/week on site at Spring House, up to 2 days per week remote)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with clinical study activities such as study start up, investigator meetings, data review, etc.
  • Preparing study-related and/or safety-related documents and presentations.
  • Work on special projects on the clinical team, such as use of medical review tools and creating and maintaining trackers related to selected safety and recruitment topics.

Qualifications

Education and Skills:

  • Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in life sciences, or be a recent college graduate or student enrolled in a master’s degree program in a relevant field.
  • Available to work (Full-time).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
  • Detail-oriented, Creative, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Have the ability to thrive independently as well as on a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel (including a high proficiency with generating pivot tables and graphs), and Power Point, and have strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership is preferred.
  • Additional technical competencies in SharePoint and other information technology systems are highly desirable, as is experience with PubMed databases and other literature databases.
