We are looking for a Manager, Innovation to join our pharmaceuticals business unit be responsible for development of Sensient excipients for dietary supplements and pharmaceutical products. This position will manage New Product Development (NPD) of technical ingredients within color, flavor, coating and extract platforms for use within food supplement, functional food or pharmaceutical applications (e.g., gummies, syrups, chewables, beverages, tablets, soft gels, lozenges, etc.)

What You'll do:
- Utilize Strategic thinking to identify gaps in the commercial platforms and the NPD pipeline and then execute projects through the Stage Gate process.
- Manage the innovation pipeline and NPD projects for Pharma product platforms. Key outputs are application-based solutions with unique value propositions including commercially viable application Cost in Use.
- Coordinate internal resources and collaborate with other business units to ensure new projects meet commercial needs. Manage resources and the Stage Gate process for NPD project pipeline. The pipeline typically has 15 - 20 active projects, with at least two launches per quarter.
- Respond to and resolve customer inquiries relating to technical aspects of products and their use in customer applications.
- Collaborate with Technical Service and Commercial teams to identify portfolio gaps and define needs for innovation projects.
What You'll bring:
- M.Sc. or higher in food science, biological sciences, chemistry or comparable fields with ten years professional experience with demonstrated accomplishments in new product development and/or use of technical ingredients in consumable goods.
- Must have experience in innovation project strategy, project assessment and management (preferably via Stage Gate process).
- Ability and desire for management of up to five scientists.
- An understanding of the formulation, development and production of technical ingredients is preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%, to execute responsibilities.
