Responsibilities:
Conducting advanced research and analyses using techniques from data science, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) for the Army Cyber community.
Work both alone and as part of a team with other researchers, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data-centric, decision-driven insights, analytics, algorithms, and models.
Perform exploratory data analysis, munging, cleaning, and labeling on both structured and unstructured data.
Design, develop, implement, and evaluate statistical AI/ML algorithms/models for various tasks using multiple data types (text, tabular, time series, image, logs, etc.).
Comfortable working with on-premises and cloud-native environments for the discovery, extraction, and analysis of patterns/trends to gather, process, and derive valuable insights needed to build and deliver AI/ML-enabled capabilities.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, data science, operations research, artificial intelligence, electrical engineering, industrial/systems engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years professional experience in data science work.
Proficiency in data science-related programming languages (Python, R, Julia, Matlab, etc.)
Experience designing and querying relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL, vector, time-series, etc.).

The individual must possess the ability to (a) communicate equally well to lay audience and experts in the field, both written and orally; (b) analyze research results in a field and draw conclusions about the efficacy of methods outlined; (c) review proposals (from other agencies); and (d) carry out literature surveys and write reports on the status of a sub-field.
Skills may be demonstrated by appropriate graduate-level coursework, or independent research experience with documented output in the form of reports, conference papers, or journal articles.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position will be $80,000-$120,000, commensurate with experience.
