The Opportunity

The Manager of Retailer Marketing is a key member of the US Marketing Team and serves as a critical partner to the US Merchandising and Sales organization. This role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of channel & account-specific consumer-facing programs that effectively support and translate our core business objectives and strategies at the key account level into tangible growth drivers. This position will report to the Vice President, Americas Marketing.

  • Closely collaborate with Merchandising, Product Management, Insights, and the Commercial team to translate products & platforms into actionable consumer-facing joint marketing plans within key accounts that drive profitable growth behind priority initiatives.
  • Lead the strategy, project development and cross-functional management, execution & review/look-back of joint marketing campaigns that will highlight Weber's core capabilities built around a fully integrated marketing support plan.
  • Serves as the marketing expert for key retail partners with the ability to integrate retailer and brand strategies to: develop, create, sell-in and execute thoughtful marketing programs that align with the Weber brand portfolio, growth objectives and drive shopper purchase conversion.
  • Provides strong thought leadership to shopper behavior-based decision making.
  • Partners with key internal and external stakeholders to design creative and impactful programs, tailored to both large store and emerging retail landscape, as needed.
  • Partner with the Marketing & Creative teams to translate key campaigns to digital, demand-generating content and collaborate with the performance marketing group to optimize via customer media campaigns. Review campaign effectiveness (impressions, page views, leads, etc) and report back to the commercial group for further development.
  • Ensure programs and contracted assets are leveraged to their fullest potential both in-store and via retailer marketing channels. Programs include but are not limited to: new product launches, exclusive items, product re-launches, price promotions, custom consumer promotions, pass-through sponsorships and retailer-specific tradeshows.
  • Create communication and execution paths that are set to win across digital and in-store environments.
  • Assess the cost/benefit of and manage external agency and vendor relationships.
  • Prepare and present planned activity, concepts, and business updates as well as share results from program execution to cross-functional departments in an effort to continually improve programs and executions.
  • Responsible for a deep understanding of the current/future market conditions and retail environment as well as product knowledge and expertise in Weber products, our competition, and our retail distribution.
  • Manage Weber's US Digital Content Specialist to ensure timely execution of business-critical content to the various retail partner websites and oversee critical agency partner contracts within this function


The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or another related field required, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of customer marketing, account-based marketing, product marketing, or shopper marketing experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience in a matrix organization a plus
  • Experience in vendor/agency management
  • Shopper marketing experience in home improvement, big box and/or hardware retail store environments a plus
  • A team-first focus with a can-do attitude and willingness to engage and help with any and all retailer marketing initiatives and activities
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with a proven track record of building relationships, influencing others, and collaborating cross-functionally
  • Strong business acumen and attention to detail with consistent record of delivery results
  • Exceptional problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work well under pressure and in challenging situations
