Description

Larkins is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, possess strong leadership skills, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in every aspect of restaurant operations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Leadership:** Assist the General Manager in leading and motivating the restaurant team to deliver outstanding service and achieve operational goals.

2. **Guest Experience:** Ensure that every guest receives exceptional service and enjoys a memorable dining experience. Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

3. **Staff Training and Development:** Oversee the training and development of restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts/hostesses. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to foster a culture of excellence.

4. **Operations Management:** Assist in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including but not limited to scheduling, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

5. **Financial Management:** Work closely with the General Manager to monitor and manage restaurant finances, including budgeting, cost control, and maximizing profitability.

6. **Event Coordination:** Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute private events, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding guest expectations.

7. **Vendor Relations:** Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality ingredients and services.

8. **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

**Qualifications:**

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in an upscale restaurant environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests, staff, and vendors.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve operational excellence and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including financial management, inventory control, and staffing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
