Description

This position is responsible for the facilitation of the business' environmental strategy at the Sikeston, MO Ice Cream operation, including ensuring compliance with all relevant EPA and DNR standards, realizing leading environmental teams, and lending expertise to all environmental-related issues within the operation. Supports and fully functional in Unilever safety polices and guidelines.

What You’ll Do:

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Participate in regulatory Unilever internal auditing.
  • Participate in regulatory Unilever internal compliance and permitting.
  • Target and goal setting (1, 3, 5 years).
  • Program maintenance and annual review.
  • Emergency response member.
  • Monitors, analyses and reports their overall SHE performance data and their action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Understands the processes for the measurement and management of environmental impact, including resource planning/conservation and waste minimization.
  • Reports and communicates results, issues and improvements to relevant stakeholders.
  • Enhance Green Capabilities.
  • Applies their leadership skills to encourage safe responsible behavior amongst their colleagues.
  • TLE – Training, Learning and Educating assets of the business.
  • Support all activities within the SHE Pillar.
  • Ability to become HAZWOPER certified, be an emergency response member and have knowledge of the EAP (Emergency Action Plan).

Challenges:

  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements. Lead by direction and example in a way that reinforces a culture of zero accidents or incidents.
  • Plan, organize, direct, train and motivate a diverse workforce to optimize performance.
  • Adapting TPM principles and processes into existing plant operations to achieve consistency with TPM requirements and measurable improvement in site KPIs.
  • Ongoing identification and implementation of waste and cost reduction ideas in a way that does not adversely impact operations or the Company.
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of current waste systems supporting the site manufacturing process.

Scope:

  • Must be able to work across multiple shifts and multiple shift schemes.
  • Responsible for setting the direction and change efforts. Influencing the leadership team and TPM Pillar to accomplish site goals will be an integral requirement of this position.
  • Maintain operational knowledge of various IT support systems.
  • Improve Team delivery of all KPI’s within each product team to reduce costs within the operation.
  • Lead site expert on Unilever and regulatory compliance requirements.

What You’ll Need To Succeed:

Knowledge and skill requirements:

  • Associates or B.S. degree in related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in related discipline; management level experience preferred.
  • Understanding internal and external customer needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Applies their leadership skills to encourage safe and responsible behavior amongst their colleagues and within their teams.
  • Identifies all relevant internal and external customers.
  • Identifies opportunities to optimize supply chain value through business partnerships (Internal and External).
  • Taking responsibility for doing what you say. Providing real clarity on what people are accountable for. Being explicit about the links between performance and reward.
  • Being decisive and making tough choices with limited information. Great execution – debate, decide, implement and follow through. Allowing space for rick taking, learning from failure and sharing the learning.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $67,000 to $100,500. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
