We are currently searching for a Certified Welder to be based out of Hebron, OH. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for performing skilled MIG & TIG welding operations.
What you'll do:
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Adhere to all Life Saving Rules, including: Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding/Bypassing Safety Controls, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety protocols
Perform skilled MIG & TIG welding technique
Perform setup, adjustments and operation of welding machines
Operate an Angle Grinder to prepare parts for welding and to touch up surface defects
Set components for welding in accordance with set specifications and configuration and blueprints
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method needed based on the requirements of the job
Responsible for assessing welded surfaces, structures, and components to ensure weld accuracy and identify weld errors
Replace wire, filters, and gas cradles as needed
Must perform First-Piece Inspection, as well as all required subsequent inspections
Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding hourly rate goals
Responsible for completing the Hour-by-Hour board(s) for the duration of shift
What You'll bring
High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus three (3) years welding experience preferred.
AWS Certification required or Technical School Welding Certificate
Ability to follow standard work processes and operate with a continuous improvement mindset
Flexibility of shift scheduling, to include overtime and weekends
Ability to squat, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand and work a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
