PURPOSE:
To review and improve current manufacturing processes and establish the manufacturing methods and layouts of new products (domestic and international).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Determines appropriate routings for orders and communicates to production team,

Supports production by troubleshooting production issues related to Manufacturing BOM's and routing structures used.

Provides support to the manufacturing process through accurate management and maintenance of routing and facility databases on an ongoing basis.

Creates and audits Bills of Material information from engineering for accuracy and completeness, specifically: BOM linkages, Routings, and BOM item types.

Identifies and determines BOM product structure routings and component level manufacturing requirements. Provides quick response on expedited routing needs so the team can reply to expedite requests from internal customers timely.

Monitors and follows through on incorrect routing corrective action requests (CAR).

Manages Manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOM) for engineering releases. Ensures drawings that go into job packets are legible and easy to read when they are printed and ready to go to the manufacturing group.

Analyzes and evaluates manufacturing methods and standards to ensure routings are accurate and evolving as manufacturing methods change

Must be proficient with Solid Works and Auto CAD systems, JD Edwards MRP system, Microsoft Office suite

Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Engineering Manager, recognizing that priorities can and will shift quickly to adjust to the demands of other departments for the overall benefit of the company.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Create and maintain up to date routings and BOM's for all products, ensuring compliance to engineering documentation system

Maximize production efficiency through creation of optimized routings

Maintain up to date manufacturing information

Control Deviation creations, releases, and revisions
