PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage the activities of the production floor, under the direction of the Lead Supervisor or Operations Manager and follow established procedures and approved processes
* Aligning shift schedules to include workstation assignments/rotations, employee vacations, employee breaks, training/coaching production line employees, and overtime assignments
* Coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion
* Supervise all shop floor operators on their respective shift
* Ensuring and encouraging a safe working environment by promoting safety and environmental compliance with all safety rules and procedures
* Assure 5S throughout facility
* Provide effective cross training for employees to assure the continuous smooth running of the department
* Administer ADP eTime/Payroll
* Perform constructive employee counseling when necessary
* Ensure that operators have accurately completed the production paperwork including process verification sheets
* Monitor production throughout the shift for problems and production levels
* Liaison to Team Leaders on all shifts (Coach, Lead, & Direct)
* Ensure that employee reviews are completed on time for both temporary workers and Dana employees

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
* 3- 5 years' supervisory (or management) experience.
* Will have a thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques and related equipment
* Must have complete knowledge of production scheduling and shop operations
* This position requires that the person be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently
* Project Management skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to work in a fast paced, highly complex setting
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing activities strongly preferred.
