Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Department Manager with a strong background in Electrical engineering to a join a globally recognised manufacturing company with a large site in the Deeside / Chester area, who will have responsibility spanning all electrical engineering on the plant.
Key aspects of the Electrical Manager role include –
Provide first class level of engineering expertise and to maintain electrical equipment capability for the site, including responsibility for the shift-based Automation Technicians, Electrical Maintenance Engineers and HV Engineering teams.
Electrical Manager will lead and drive the safety performance of the team
Identify and develop relationships with key external contract labour support services
Successful Electrical Manager will have knowledge of Root Cause Analysis tools and strategic maintenance processes
Identify and implement design/development opportunities to improve plant reliability and availability and improve product quality
Provide engineering support for the implementation of capital schemes
Authorise, monitor and control expenditure on goods and services within the annual maintenance budget
Facilitate and lead development of all elements of the Company Asset Management Framework
Liaise with Site Development and Engineering as required to maintain team performance
Identify and implement opportunities to improve cost effectiveness via effective downshift planning and execution
Ensure personnel are properly trained and succession plans in place
