Pay:
Salaried grade 6 or 8

$66,100 - $87,200/ year, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is part of a career ladder that includes grades 4-10, indicating potential for advancement.

Schedule

1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Hybrid with minimum two days on-site per week

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Learning Experience and Design Specialist to join our Corporate Learning and Development team. The Learning Experience and Design Specialist is responsible for creating and facilitating innovative, engaging training solutions that meet the diverse needs of McKee Foods. This role involves both the creation of innovative training materials and active facilitation of learning sessions that drive competence, enhance skill development, and support the strategic goals of the organization. You will leverage your expertise in instructional design, learning theories, and technology to deliver dynamic training sessions that are both impactful and memorable. Your responsibilities will span from assessing training needs and developing tailored content to actively engaging participants and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives.

  • Design and develop comprehensive learning solutions across a variety of formats, including digital e-learning, interactive workshops, and blended learning environments
  • Deliver training programs using a range of facilitation techniques to ensure participant engagement and knowledge retention
  • Adapt facilitation style and techniques to fit the dynamics of the group and the specific learning objectives
  • Conduct detailed needs assessments to identify specific learning objectives based on the strategic goals of the organization and the developmental needs of its employees
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure training solutions are aligned with business needs and organizational culture
  • Implement robust evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs and use feedback to make data-driven improvements
  • Maintain expertise in instructional design and facilitation by participating in professional development and exploring new advancements in the field

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • At least one year experience in learning and/or instructional design
  • Strong knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • 3 or more years' experience in training, learning and instructional design
  • Experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Experience in designing and implementing training in a corporate setting
  • Experience with video editing and multimedia production
  • Experience with LMS systems and understanding of SCORM and xAPI standards
  • Experience using content authoring and design tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite)
