Responsibilities

This position will ensure the integrity and reliability of all electrical, instrumentation, and control systems including installation, troubleshooting and continued calibration as well as maintenance within the assigned area. This will include: natural gas processing plant, compressor station, pigging facilities, and metering station. Additionally, this position must also have a strong commitment to safety and environmental policies.


* Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including motors, motor starters, switchgear, breakers, UPS backups, and generators
* Calibrate, test, and maintain various instrumentation end devices, including pressure and temperature transmitters, control valves, ESD valves, solenoids, flame detectors, and burner management systems
* Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade control system hardware including PLC's, HMI's, power supplies, and diodes
* Use and update various documentation when testing and troubleshooting (one-line diagrams, P&ID's, schematics, PFD's, cause and effect matrices)
* Collaborate with operations and maintenance personnel when performing maintenance, upgrades, and modifications to limit impact to operations
* Respond promptly to equipment failures and breakdowns, diagnosing problems and implementing solutions to minimize downtime
* Use work order system to maintain accurate maintenance and test records
* Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
* Participate in training programs to stay current on industry best practices, new technologies, and safety regulations


Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical or instrumentation preferred
* Valid driver's license
* Must pass pre-employment and subject to random DOT drug testing
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably in natural gas processing or similar industrial environment
* Working knowledge of electrical systems/concepts
* Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation
* Familiar with NFPA 70E
* Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities, preferred
* Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
* Capable of vigorous outdoor activities with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, walking on catwalks, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization
* Commitment to safety and adherence to established safety protocols at all times
* Required to work a rotating on-call schedule throughout the year, including nights, weekends, and holidays
