Role Overview
Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Team Leader will be directly responsible for a team of IT professionals managing the organisation’s predominantly on-premises IT infrastructure while leveraging cloud-based solutions, particularly O365, to enhance productivity and efficiency within the organisation. Serving as a technical expert in resolving complex IT issues, the role is furthermore responsible for establishing and enforcing IT policies and procedures to maintain compliance, security, and data integrity. this role will have a strong focus on different aspects of IT operations which may include WAN and LAN, security operations, IT based telephone systems, unified communication as well as the implementation of new IT projects.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Team Leader with expertise in JD Edwards applications, networking, systems administration in Microsoft and Linux environments to support O365 and other general office applications to achieve the IT department’s goals and drive technological excellence in the organisation. The successful candidate must have strong technical skills and an in-depth knowledge of IT systems while possessing the knowledge of data security and compliance standards. Strong Firewall and Sophos XG experience as well as extensive exposure to VMware environments is a must. An excellent communicator with proven experience in a team leader role for a corporate environment who has the ability to lead IT projects to enhance productivity and efficiency is highly desirable.

The role

Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, qualified Engineer to join our team in Mount Isa.
A little bit about the role:
Establish and maintain strong customer rapport by identifying and understanding their needs and requirements including onsite data collection.
Supervise/perform mechanical maintenance activities related to bearings, power transmission and their components.
Provide and coordinate condition monitoring and reliability services for strategic customers, including onsite data collection.
Work with Applied's Engineers, Product Specialists, Technicians and Sale steam to identify new business opportunities.
Prepare technical offers and solutions in coordination with the Service Manager.
Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.
Develop new opportunities through existing and new customers.

In addition to the above you'll also:
Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Have demonstrated experience in the field of mechanical maintenance, condition monitoring and asset reliability.
Knowledge of bearings, power transmission and condition monitoring products and their applications (essential)
Vibration Analysis Certification - ISO CAT 1 or CAT is advantageous.
Due to the locations of our customers shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment to allow access to site.

What You’ll Do
Maintain a successful and critical legacy .NET application with some existing quirks with a focus on modernisation in the future.

Design, build efficient, testable, and maintainable code with the right balance between pragmatism and design within your solution.
Work across the entire end to end stack of .NET stack including Entity Framework, Windows Forms, MVC, SOAP and WCF sitting on top of a MS SQL Server.
Collaborate in our cross-functional Product Management and Engineering teams to share and discover better ways of working.
Take initiative and always look for ways in improving the quality of our solutions, code bases, technical debt, standards, processes, and best practices.
Lead in our culture of engineering and operational excellence, continuously improving our craftsmanship.
Developing test cases and perform unit testing to support solution delivery teams.
Analyse and ensure that performance (non-functional) requirements are met.
Provide post-implementation and on-going support.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and accurately document interoperability problems and their probable causes.
Identify root/cause, provide testing guidance, and assist clients with implementing solutions.
Be part of a team that plays an essential role in getting our customers on to their flights.
Who you are...
You have at least 5+ years’ experience in software development, using either C# or VB coding, testing and automation techniques to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Proficient in some of the following: C# or VB, SQL Server, SOAP or REST.
Passionate about software engineering best practices and know what it means to ship high-quality code that is maintainable and extendable.
Highly collaborative team-player who thrives in a team environment without being adversarial and can also work independently.
Happy to help and assist your team members with their challenges and leverage others to help you.
You have a growth mindset, embracing challenges to continuously improve and innovate.
Good knowledge of software design patterns (e.g. Singleton, Factory etc).
Appreciation of the SDLC in the context of agile delivery, different agile delivery methodologies.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps and experience with the Cloud (e.g. Azure, AWS etc.).
.NET Core experience and any knowledge of upgrading existing .NET frameworks.
