About the Role

Your new role

Leverage in-depth data analysis to catalyze growth across the company's products, platforms and audience -, including app product development, subscription services, ad sales, website optimization, and financial planning
Act as a key strategic partner to stakeholders by understanding their specific data requirements, thereby informing and guiding overarching business strategies and critical decisions.
Transform complex data sets into understandable, actionable, and engaging reports, dashboards, and visual narratives that highlight significant insights and drive strategic actions.
Advise, implement, and manage all of our analytic platforms (currently: AWS, Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT, Zenlytic (Looker-based BI Visualisation tool) Qonversion for subscription management, and Leanplum as our CRM
Collaborate with business partners, define and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and can effectively track performance and progress.
Work across various departments to fulfill specific data inquiries, empowering decision-makers with comprehensive, data-driven insights and recommendations to inform strategic choices and initiatives.
Stay ahead of the latest developments in data analysis tools, techniques, and best practices, continuously seeking out opportunities to advance the team's analytical capabilities and technological prowess.
Employ sophisticated data science methods to identify trends, discern patterns, and unveil opportunities, translating intricate data discoveries into practical, actionable strategies for product and service improvement.

Analytics leadership experience in global consumer tech - ideally subscription consumer tech
5+ years of building & leading a Data, Insights, and Analytics team.
10+years of experience of data, insights, and analytics.
Familiarity with the following platforms: AWS, Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT, Subscription management platforms such as Qonversion, Google Analytics, BI tool such as Tableau, CDP such as Segment, customer analytics tools such as Mix Panel or Amplitude. SQL capabilities are also required.
Bachelor’s, Master's, or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, Statistics or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Hands-on experience in managing deliverables, timelines and budget in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Proficient in data analysis, insights generation, presentations and data-storytelling.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Location & Hours
Preference for Sydney, Australia, alongside CEO (hybrid; office location TBC)
The broader team is based in North America with a concentration on the East Coast. This role will require overlapping business hours (e.g, 6am AEST) and hours/days can be flexed accordingly.
Occasional international travel may be required.

West Technology has been exclusively engaged to recruit a new Head of IT to manage the IT function for the ANZ region and ensure the execution of the global IT strategy. The business is part of a global matrix organisation that employs over 5000 people, with over 400 people across Australia and New Zealand. The Opportunity
Reporting to an offshore CIO with a dotted line to the local Managing Director, the Head of IT will have P&L ownership of the ANZ IT function, which supports a user community of more than 400 seats. This role will sit on the local leadership team that will drive change and innovation across the region.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
Plan and execute the annual IT program
Align with peers across other regions for global IT initiatives
Ensure that the local IT strategy is compatible with the global IT strategy
Drive all technology change management and transformation across the ANZ region
Provide leadership & support to the local IT team
The Successful Applicant
Will hold a technology related tertiary qualification
Comes with experience leading an IT function that supports a user base of 400 + seats.
