Job Description

The Data Insights Analyst will transform raw data into meaningful insights that drive informed decision-making within the organization. Leveraging expertise in data analysis and visualization, they will collect, clean, and analyze complex datasets to uncover valuable patterns and trends. Through the creation of data visualizations, reports, and dashboards, they will communicate findings to stakeholders, enabling them to make data-driven decisions that optimize operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and support strategic business objectives. Analytical skills and attention to detail will contribute to the organization's growth and success by unlocking the power of data and guiding continuous improvements across various business functions.


NORMAL DAY-TO-DAY WORK

  1. Gather data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity. Clean and preprocess data to make it suitable for analysis.
  2. Conduct exploratory data analysis using statistical methods, data mining techniques, and machine learning algorithms to uncover insights and trends within the data.
  3. Create clear and compelling data visualizations, charts, and graphs to present insights to stakeholders in an easily understandable format.
  4. Generate data reports and interactive dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, providing stakeholders with regular updates on relevant data insights.
  5. Collaborate with business teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights that inform decision-making and support strategic initiatives.
  6. Help formulate and test hypotheses to validate assumptions and support data-driven experiments that drive process improvements and business growth.
  7. Communicate data insights and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, explaining complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  8. Stay updated with the latest data analysis techniques, tools, and industry best practices, continuously improving the quality and efficiency of data analysis processes.
  9. Work with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, product development, finance, and operations, to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and address business challenges.
  10. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices, protecting sensitive data and maintaining data confidentiality.
  11. Maintain documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing within the team.
  12. Validate and verify data accuracy, performing data quality checks and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the analysis.
  13. Provide data-driven recommendations and insights to support evidence-based decision-making and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
  14. Share knowledge and insights with team members and stakeholders, promoting data literacy and data-driven thinking throughout the organization.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Here are a few skills you MUST have to be qualified for this position.

  1. Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
  2. At least 1 - 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, data visualization, or a related role, with a track record of delivering data insights and actionable recommendations.
  3. Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, such as SQL, Python, R, or similar platforms.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manipulate, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources.
  5. Experience in creating clear and insightful data visualizations, charts, and graphs using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  6. Familiarity with statistical methods, data mining techniques, and basic machine learning concepts.
  7. Ability to function in a Consumer business environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
  8. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer)
  9. Travel required on occasion.

  1. Relevant certifications in data analysis, data visualization, or related areas (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Python for Data Science, etc.) preferred.
