Specialist II, AR Management NEXTGEN Healthcare Job Description:
The Specialist II, AR Management role assists with workflow processes to ensure that daily, weekly and monthly tasks are accomplished effectively. The incumbent will assist with the billing and collections process for the completion of complex assignments and monitors the quality and quantity of AR performance measures.
Assist with coordinating and guiding staff to ensure client and company expectations are being met, assist with the onboarding and training process, provide on-going feedback on employee performance and assist with employee retention. Provide client-specific workflow process and system training to team members. Monitor work quality pertaining to client protocols, against audit tools and client and internal logs. Ensure completion of all internal logs, customer service logs and payment posting issues. Provide management with on-going client specific feedback to help prepare for monthly Account Management meetings. Assist management with the preparation of the issues trending log and other performance monitoring tools. Perform functions for assigned account(s). Serve as a front line back up to ensure work processes continue to flow when assigned staff are out of the office. Run standard and some ad hoc reports, creating action plans, and writing SOPs. Responsible for completion of client specific projects. Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position. Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Healthcare related discipline. Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position. Experience Required:2+ years of experience in billing and/or collections for a multi-specialty physician group. for physician billing. 2+ years of experience in medical billing and/or collections in a healthcare or insurance environment. Experience in Infusion therapy billing. Experience with ICD 9/10 and CPT coding. Experience in complex appeal writing. Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required equivalent qualifications for the position. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of: Knowledge of healthcare carriers and payer requirements. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) with intermediate skill level. Knowledge of Windows based programs. Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners for the above position in the Western Sydney Local Health District. The position will be located at Auburn Hospital within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Gestational Diabetes Mellitus).
Successful applicants will need to be appropriately qualified, have sound knowledge of diabetes in pregnancy & endocrinology, good communication skills and be able to work harmoniously in a multidisciplinary team.
This position provides specialist endocrinology support to Auburn Hospital’s Obstetrics & Gynaecology department.
Selection Criteria
· Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award/ Health Insurance Act 1997. Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency. Must hold a current NSW Environment Protection Authority license (if applicable )
· Sound clinical knowledge in managing diabetes (gestational, type 1 and type 2 diabetes) and endocrine disease during pregnancy, demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
· Qualifications and credentials required for core scope of practice in the specialty.
· Evidence of additional qualifications, skills and/or experience required for specific scope of practice for the specialty.
· Demonstrated skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical /Dental Practitioner including:
