The Supervisor Educational Consulting (Math & Science) role is responsible for managing regional projects related to Science and Mathematics implementations and reports to the Director Educational Consultant. The Supervisor is responsible for managing Educational Consultants assigned to related content area support. The Supervisor Educational Consulting is accountable for achieving Savvas Learning Services' high-quality instructional support metrics and objectives in conjunction with the Director Educational Consulting. This role provides strategic support to the director and market-based sales and services teams in a regional territory.



Critical to the role is experience with field customer work in sales and services and preferred but not required, knowledge of Savvas Learning Co. products, platforms, and services. The supervisor will use this experience to help hire, manage, and develop the Educational Consultant team in a regional territory.


The supervisor is accountable for monitoring these business needs in the efforts to achieve and exceed the Savvas Learning Company services objectives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Responsible for the hiring, management, development, and retention of consultants who report to the Supervisor, at the Director Educational Consulting direction. Work with the director to manage utilization capacity based on forecasting, gaps, trends, and product releases.

  • Maintains team expertise by creating personal growth plans and coaching opportunities for direct reports. Will be involved in performance reviews, goal setting, and mentoring.

  • The Supervisor is responsible for collaborating in the development of partner professional implementation plans and overseeing the successful delivery of the full spectrum of professional learning services to meet the outcomes of our diverse school partners.

  • Organize delivery of services events including individual, remote, and multi-consultant events, as assigned, and directed by the Director Educational Consulting

  • Support communication strategy for professional learning communication, planning, and customer support for the Educational Consultant team. Support/reinforce policies and guidelines with direct reports.

  • Work with the Director Educational Consulting and Resource Deployment team to troubleshoot scheduling conflicts and challenges while committing resources most effectively and efficiently.

  • Control expenses by enforcing the Savvas Learning Company's established travel and entertainment policies. Reinforces use of Savvas internal cost-saving applications i.e., Certify and Staples Advantage.

  • Contribute to a creative, positive, and respectful team culture in collaboration with the Director Educational Consultant.

  • Analyze data from finance, resource deployment, and sales pipeline to understand current and forecasted staffing needs; utilize data to inform hiring needs and cross-training of existing staff.

  • Maximize utilization of full-time staff by collaborating with resource deployment in the assignment of long-term, multi-day projects, and monitor assignments of part-time staff in support of full-time utilization.

  • Must reside in the West Region - No relocation expenses provided.

  • 70% travel within the regional territory assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • M.A. degree required.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in the education industry including sales processes and services delivery and implementation plans.

  • Building and/or district leadership experience is highly preferred.

  • Experience with customer service skills at a leadership level and in driving customer relationships to execute overall strategy.

  • Ability to coach, mentor, develop and performance manage services resources. Experience with adult learning theory.

  • Broad experience with industry-standard business applications i.e., Salesforce, Zoom, GoToMeeting/Webinar, Learning Management Systems, Google Drive/Sites/Hangouts/Meet.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES



  • Strong knowledge and experience in the Educational Sales and Services industry as it applies to customer-facing teams, strongly preferred. Able to quickly gain knowledge of Savvas Learning Co. product lines and platforms.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with entry-level through executive-level internal and external customers. Must also have skills that inspire collaboration among all levels of team members.

  • Experience partnering with customers and able to coach to close deals and deliver successful services.

  • Proactive, results-oriented self-starter. Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage needs of services business goals.

  • Superior messaging and presentation delivery skills. Excellent communication skills- written, verbal, and in-person as well as remote/virtual presentation environments with industry-standard technology tools and platforms. Expert at leveraging and coaching others in these skills.

  • Flexible and adaptable approach to leading and managing the needs of a changing organization and customer climate. Experience with change management best practices is a plus.

SCOPE AND IMPACT



  • This job will have direct report Supervisory responsibilities. These reports will be in the geographical area assigned and the number of reports will be determined by the Director Educational Consulting.
