One position available, may be filled as an Associate Reclamation Agent or Reclamation Agent. Position will be located in Rock Springs, WY or Salt Lake City, UT. ASSOCIATE RECLAMATION AGENT: Under direct supervision, this position is assists with conducting all activities for the reclamation projects to include but not limited to: Implementing (with direct supervision) all interim and final reclamation, weed spraying, and disturbance monitoring projects. Assists with determining and implementing appropriate action to successfully achieve desired results on all reclamation projects. Researches, analyzes, and evaluates best practices and current and future industry standards to develop and implement approved recommendations for strategies to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective compliance to all state and federal regulations for reclamation projects, weed spraying/chemicals. Serves as oversight and liaison between company, clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors for all projects covered under reclamation. Assists in all bid awarding and ensure external contractors adhere to contract agreements. Performs on-site field inspections on environmental impact to WEXPRO operations and work performed by vendor activities (ex. Reseeding, weed spraying) and takes appropriate action to successfully resolve issues between work performed by contractors and contract agreement. Performs analysis that must be completed prior to pit closure or spill clean up to ensure regulatory requirements are met and completes and submits required forms to regulatory agencies for compliance. With direct supervision, develops proposals to government agencies for future work to secure applicable federal and state agency approvals including data analysis, compiling of reports, and preparation of forms/presentations. Researches and analyzes reclamation industry best practices, trends, and techniques to develop sound recommendations for leadership approval and implementation. Responsible for tracking all spill reporting, weed spraying, and other reclamation project activities. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following: ASSOCIATE RECLAMATION AGENT: • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or Range Management, preferred • 0-2 years’ experience in related field, • Knowledge and understanding of job specific applications of oil and gas operations and terminology • Knowledge of and ability to use personal computer and related software to prepare reports, proposals, presentations, documentation, and tracking • Knowledge and understanding of job specific applications of oil and gas, federal and state regulatory rules and regulations with ability to interpret and advise on new/pending regulations • Knowledge of general applications of botany or biology, weed spraying and other reclamation activities • Ability to define and analyze problems, collect and evaluate data, and draw sound business conclusions and recommendations • Ability to plan, organize and complete work in a timely, accurate, safe and cost-effective manner. • Ability to develop and present sound business presentations, proposals, and reporting • Must be able to communicate in person, by phone and in writing with strong communication skills and ability • Must be able to work independently and as a team member • Must be able to draft bids, negotiate and resolve issues between company agreement and contractor activities. • Must be able demonstrate ability to liaison between company, clients, regulatory agencies and contractors RECLAMATION AGENT: • Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Range Management, preferred • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in related field, • Strong knowledge and understanding of job specific applications of oil and gas operations and terminology • Strong knowledge of and ability to use personal computer and related software to prepare reports, proposals, presentations, documentation, and tracking • Strong knowledge and understanding of job specific applications of oil and gas federal and state regulatory rules and regulations with ability to interpret and advise on new/pending regulations • Strong knowledge of general applications of botany or biology, weed spraying and other reclamation activities • Demonstrated ability to define and analyze problems, collect and evaluate data, and draw sound business conclusions and recommendations • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and complete work in a timely, accurate, safe and cost-effective manner. • Demonstrated ability to develop and present sound business presentations, proposals, and reporting • Must be able to communicate in person, by phone and in writing with strong communication skills and ability • Must be able to work independently and as a team member • Must be able to draft and approve Bids, negotiate and resolve issues between company agreement and contractor activities. • Must be able demonstrate ability to liaison between company, clients, regulatory agencies and contractors Education Requirements Degree or an equivalent combination of educations and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor preferred Biology, Ecology, Range Management, etc. Preferred Discipline(s): Business Administration or Accounting Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
