Job Summary/Basic Function
The primary responsibility of this temporary position is to provide Supplemental Instruction for Anatomy & Physiology students at the Bay College Escanaba campus.

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is an internationally recognized academic support program that targets traditionally difficult courses. Students come together in regularly scheduled study sessions to compare notes, discuss course materials, develop creative study tools, practice problem solving and prepare for exams. These sessions are facilitated by trained SI Leaders that attend the course with students and prepare study materials for use during SI sessions.








Minimum Qualifications
* Demonstrated competence (at least an A-) in BIOL 213, Anatomy & Physiology or a comparable course.
* Completed the equivalent of two years of college course work.
* Strong foundation in biology.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Tutoring experience.
* Must also be able to work virtually from home if needed.




Preferred Qualifications
* BS/BA in biology, nursing, or related field.
* Experience in Supplemental Instruction.
* Teaching experience.

Work Schedule
The SI leader must be available to attend lecture, hold SI sessions and office hours. Work Schedule will be determined based on availability.
