Nightingale Veterinary is seeking a Manager of Equipment and Procurement to join our team in New York City. The Manager of Equipment and Procurement will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement of medical and non-medical equipment, supplies, and materials for both our existing practices as well as for developing projects. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, strategic planning abilities, and an understanding of procurement best practices.

Your Role:

Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of equipment, supplies, and materials
Collaborate with practice leaders to understand equipment needs and establish procurement priorities accordingly
Source and evaluate potential vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to optimize pricing, quantity, and delivery schedules
Maintain accurate records of existing equipment within the practice and their warranties
Monitor market trends and industry developments to ensure access to equipment and identify opportunities for cost savings
Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets
Contribute to the culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in procurement
Proven track record of successfully managing procurement processes in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the healthcare or veterinary industry
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and internal team members
Acute attention to detail
Strong time management and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects
