Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead the external accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and efficiency.
Manage the full cycle of accounts payable processes, including invoice receipt, validation, coding, approval, and payment processing.
Review and approve invoices and expense reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Coordinate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies, coding issues, and payment inquiries in a timely manner.
Prepare and analyse accounts payable reports, metrics, and KPIs to monitor performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, procurement, and operations, to streamline processes, improve workflow, and resolve issues.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting requirements.
Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, resolving disputes and negotiating favourable outcomes.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounts payable processes, systems, and controls, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings.
Selection Criteria:
4+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong understanding of accounts payable principles, processes, and best practices, including regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Excel;
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The role
The Finance Superintendent is responsible for managing the business accounting function and leading a team of financial specialists. As the Finance Superintendent will be responsible for controlling monthly dual currency accounting to ensure timely completion and reporting, developing site reporting functions, reviewing monthly general ledger reconciliations, leading FBT compliance and reporting, preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, managing quarterly and annual external audits, conducting compliance reviews, identifying opportunities to improve the finance and reporting functions and relieving the Finance Manager, as required.
Selection criteria
CPA/CA qualified, you will need substantial experience working in a senior accounting role, with demonstrated experience in managing/supervising a team of professional accountants. You will also require knowledge of integrated accounting (ERP) systems. Pronto and Excel is required as well as knowledge of internal audit compliance procedures. Your excellent leadership and interpersonal skills will see you secure this dynamic role.

Assist with developing and maintaining the financial strategic plan and long-term financial sustainability plan to support achievement of the National Gallery’s business strategy and vision, including analysis of business cases for new initiatives.
Manage and analyse data, business activity and performance indicators to deliver timely high quality financial performance reports with insightful analysis and sound financial forecasts.
Delivering relevant and timely financial reports for the senior executive and the Council.
Prepare the internal budgets (both capital and operating), cost analysis and allocation of resources to support income generating capability and achievement of the financial strategic plan.
Provide commercial analysis and financial management of diverse sources of income including – investments, endowments, gift shop, food and beverage, contributions, sponsorship and major exhibitions.
Partner across the business areas, understanding key financial drivers and providing financial management support across the organisation.
Maintaining accurate external estimates in the Central Budget Management System administered by the Department of Finance and contribute to the development of costings and new policy proposals.
Preparing the financial tables and associated analysis for the Portfolio Budget and Additional Estimates Statements for tabling in the Parliament.
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve systems and processes for continual improvement.

Provide analytical support for new initiatives, including product launches and new programs, monitor and evaluate the performance.
Develop and prepare management reports/presentations for Sales Director and first line managers.
Business Partnership
Develop into a trusted business partner with the ability to challenge and influence Provider channel leadership’s decisions, while building business relationships.
Able to support Provider business strategic decisions; contribute in building Provider business models and product offerings etc.
Understand key business levers to business initiatives, provide insights that drive decision and outcome. Develop an understanding of the drivers for channel conflict and able to navigate through appropriately with support.
Work with Accounting team and Corporate Finance to ensure month end closing and reporting adhere to compliance and regulatory requirements.
Systems and BI tools
Ensure the planning and reporting systems fully support business processes and assist with the implementation of changes and improvements to these software systems.

Required: (Qualifications/experiences that are a must for the position)
Business, Commerce or related degree
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar FP&A role with good accounting and revenue reporting knowledge
Proficient in data gathering from cloud through SQL, BI tools (E.g TM1, Cognos) and budgeting systems (E.g Anaplan).
Substantial experience in top ERP systems (Eg. Oracle) and creation of data visualization dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, etc)
Must be flexible and adaptable in ‘real-time’ process work environment.
Preferred: (Qualifications/experiences that are preferred for the position)
Prefer to have worked in a fast-paced, complex, global and dynamic environment.
Project and system implementation experience will be highly regarded.
CA or CPA qualification

Investment and Technology is a Group within the Department of Transport and Planning, and is responsible for delivering strategic oversight and management of DTP’s operating and infrastructure budget and provides commercial and information technology services to drive high performance and improved commercial outcomes for the state.
About the Role
The Accounts Payable Support Officer provides quality support to the Accounts Payable (AP) function and ensures that the Department’s Financial Delegation and financial governance policies and processes are adhered to. This role is responsible for reviewing and checking claims for payment to ensure that they met required criteria for payment. The Accounts Payable Support Officer assists with continuous improvement initiatives including the documentation of processes.
• Accurately process claims for payment after checking for relevant controls and information including correct authorisations
• Under broad supervision, process accounts payable invoices, consolidated accounts, payment requests and claim forms in accordance with policies and procedures and within agreed service levels.
• Accurately review claims to ensure the correct GST code has been applied and that FBT has been identified if relevant.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
• Demonstrated capacity to communicate with Key internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and distribute relevant professional/technical information.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
