Position Summary

The Cloud Endpoint Architect is an EXPERT in Microsoft Modern Desktop management and Microsoft 365 Cloud services utilized by end users and is HIGHLY SKILLED in many other Microsoft-based technologies including Microsoft Intune & Azure. They have an in-depth knowledge of the entire Microsoft 365 application stack, and how to best leverage and integrate those applications in the enterprise environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities, as well as managing infrastructure, identity, access, policies, updates, and app delivery is crucial for effectively managing and securing endpoint devices and providing a modern enterprise workplace.

The Architects responsibilities include technical design, implementation, documentation, cost control, migration, and support of cloud-managed endpoints and M365 services. They research, evaluate, test, and implement enterprise-wide solutions as well as design and implement complex automated software delivery solutions.

The Endpoint Architect will need to be able to work directly with Business Process Owners to understand functional requirements and scope out solutions. The candidate is expected to be a leader in a diverse

global team of architects, engineers, and technicians at different stages of their career and skill levels.

Duties

Architecture, Design, Develop and Configure Systems – 75%

* Develops, designs, configures, and implements highly complex I.T. technology solutions.
* Design life cycle processes including the recommendation, deployment, standardization, maintenance, and replacement of current and emerging PC technologies.
* Remain current on emerging and innovative technologies for end user computing.
* Creates functional specifications and design proposals. Including diagrams and architectural documents.
* Drive the deployment of solutions by establishing relationships with key technical and non-technical decision makers to resolve business problems and develop impactful solutions and long-term cloud adoption.
* Leads the Endpoint IT infrastructure activities for major business projects.
* Researches, evaluates, and recommends software, hardware and cloud technologies.
* Performs testing and evaluation, including development lab activities for new technology solutions.
* Interfaces with software vendors and internal accounting department to facilitate the purchase of hardware and software.
* Participates in the development of I.T. strategy for the Modern Workplace
* Makes presentations and proposals to senior I.T. management on projects, designs, and initiatives.

Project Leadership and Management – 20%
* Develops and maintains IT strategy and ensure they align consistently with the STERIS plan.
* Will serve as the project lead on highly complex technical projects based on the business plan.
* Research and analyze project requirements, create, and submit proposals, and implement approved project plans.
* Develops and submits budget proposals and funding requests.

Technical Support, System Administration and Maintenance – 5%
* Provides technical support to I.T. systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve very complex problems with system configurations and hardware.
* Provide ‘last line of support’ for Modern Workplace Solutions to all other system admins, engineers, and technicians #LI-KS1

Education Degree
Required Experience
Four-year degree in Information Technology or equivalent vocational field is preferred.
Cloud certifications are preferred (Microsoft Azure or Microsoft Endpoint Administrator)
5+ years’ experience in:
Leading major infrastructure projects.
Participating in the development of technology strategy.
Creating, developing, and implementing technology solutions.
Vendor management including license agreements, hardware procurement, software procurement.
2+ years in Cloud Administration using Microsoft Intune & Microsoft Azure
10+ years full time experience or equivalent on the job training is required.
Technical proficiency – EXPERT
Laptops, desktops, workstations, thin clients, and mobile devices.
Cloud Technologies:
Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365 services, Entra ID (Azure AD), Software as a Service (SaaS), Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop #LI-Hybrid
Microsoft:
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and WINS, Group Policy, Printing, Exchange, Terminal server, PowerShell, Remote access technology, Windows Operating System, Microsoft Edge #LI-KS1

Pay range for this opportunity is $90,250.00 - $121,485.00. This position is eligible for [BONUS PARTICIPATION] OR a [INSERT COMMISSION RATE RANGE, IF APPLICABLE] commission.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Employees are covered by an employee assistance program (also available to household members) and long-term disability. Full-Time Employees are also eligible for short-term disability. Full-time Employees will also receive Paid Time Off (PTO) based on years of service and paid Holidays. Part-time employees working 20 or more hours receive a pro-ration of the full-time PTO allocation and paid Holidays based on their standard hourly work week. Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
