Position Title: Strategic Account Manager
Location: Mid South Region, commutable distance from the Little Rock AR, Texarkana,TX, or Shreveport LA metro areas.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The primary responsibility of the Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is to act as a liaison between the national team and the regional stakeholders, along with driving sales to Strategic accounts within the region, developing commercial proposals, and winning business.

The main responsibility of the Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is to act as a liaison between the national team and the regional stakeholders, along with driving sales to Strategic accounts within the region, developing commercial proposals, and winning business.

The Strategic Account Manager will work closely with the Strategic Account Teams and the region in the following areas:

Responsible for working with the region stakeholders to assure compliance and uphold the integrity with Strategic Accounts contractual commitments

Create and develop proposals, presentations and pricing agreements for Strategic Accounts

Responsible for new organic growth and maximizing existing customer opportunities

Address issues and items from the region that involve Strategic Accounts

Answerable for managing Salesforce, growing your customer portfolio (Sales Pipeline), and reporting on Strategic Accounts performance in your territory

Accountable for managing and growing Strategic Account rollout implementation participation within the region

Assist with regional cost savings for Strategic Accounts

Work with large multi-state/regional customers

Ad Hoc requests from the region dealing with Strategic Accounts

Be a regional go to person for information regarding national accounts

Responsible for “knowing your region/territory” - Stay abreast of current market trends

Familiarize and navigate your regional resources - Utilize the RAM as your support resource

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Industry and related product knowledge preferred.

Must have broad base knowledge of gases, welding and safety products in the market

Proficiency in Google Kite Suite- Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meets, etc. or proficiency using Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, in order to develop and manipulate spreadsheets, create formulas and develop PowerPoint presentations.

Proficiency in SAP required.

Proficiency Power BI preferred.

Proficiency Salesforce preferred.

Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, through telephone, email, conference calls as well as must be comfortable speaking with area AVP's.

Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to work independently under some pressure to meet deadlines.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess a valid drivers license, with a clean driving record
