Shift: Evenings
Position Summary:
Supervise and coordinate activities and work with cleaning crews engaged in housekeeping activities. Responsible for all functions related to personnel efficiency and performance. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.
Detailed responsibilities:
* SUPERVISION - Plan, organize, direct, and control the work flow of the work crew
* SUPERVISION - Recommend employees for transfers, promotions, training, etc., in conjunction with the director
* SUPERVISION - Evaluate and recommend employees for merit review and wage increases
* SUPERVISION - Supervise the completion of personnel reports and evaluations of employees, discuss problems and counsel as necessary
* TRAINING - Instruct and train employees under supervision
* SUPERVISION - Inspect and check the work of supervisors and their employees to insure cleanliness, good sanitation and proper disinfection is taking place in the hospital
* STAFFING - Assist with the scheduling and assignment of duties to provide adequate staffing for the department
* COMMUNICATION - Maintain communication and act as liaison between all shifts and departments in order to ensure smooth operation and continuity of work
* POLICIES - Plan, revise, and coordinate all operative and department policy and standards in conjunction with the director
* QUALITY - Inspect and evaluates the physical condition of the hospital
* MEETINGS - Attend staff meetings with all department employees on a routine basis to discuss problems, changes in policy, and new procedures for a more efficient and economical operation
* REPORTS - Assist in maintenance of all statistical data and reporting systems, as required by the director, including linen studies, square footage studies and productivity reports
* PROJECTS - Assist in special projects and research to update techniques, study cost savings etc.
* DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops
