Overview

THIS IS A TEMPORARY ROLE EXPECTED TO LAST 12 WEEKS. The Temporary Site Support Specialist will perform the installation, repair and preventative maintenance of personal computer and related systems; supports approved and allowed software to meet user requirements; troubleshoot software and hardware failures and identify network problems when they relate to user endpoint devices; perform the installation; and perform work of entry-level complexity. The successful candidate is expected to be on-site to provide assistance to employees daily; this is not a hybrid or remote role.


Responsibilities

  • Active Directory: add new systems to the network and unlock/reset user account passwords
  • Hardware: complete hardware installations, equipment moves, BIOS patches, hardware troubleshooting, desktop hardware support of end user systems
  • Software: install licensed software on workstations
  • Provision/Deployments: Provision user workstations using provisioning utilities
  • Maintain printers and contact vendors for printer repairs - work with Systems Admin staff to configure new print queues and new printers

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 2 or more years of experience providing technical support in an IT help desk environment
  • 1 year or more of experience working with Active Directory

Preferred:

  • Associate's Degree
  • Familiarity with a variety of software, hardware and software applications
    • Bonus for familiarity with AD Domain Console, MS635, Teams, iPhone, Sharepoint, Box, UNIX, Nuance Power PDF, ServiceNow, WinSPC, ERP systems, Jira,
  • Willingness to accept direction and guidance

Communication skills: ability to receive messages by telephone, in person, electronically and in writing; ask questions and rephrase statements to clarify meaning; ability to read, interpret and comprehend technical publications; communicate across organizational levels; ability to communicate with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities

Computer skills: Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), AD Domain Console, Service Desk; ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems such as M2M

Analytical skills: ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form; ability to work with data reports

Math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

Time Management & organizational skills: flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to perform with a high degree of multi-tasking familiar with usage in general office equipment

Employment Transparency:

SALARY RANGE

$20.82-32.72/hr per hour. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to education and experience of the successful candidate.
