Taking care of the day-to-day operations of the funds and following up with third parties, including investors and fund managers;
Preparing the funds’ periodic Net Asset Value calculation and year-end financial statements, management of the audit, and reviewing other fund-related reports;
Handling the fund accounts and preparation of periodic reports and regulatory reports for the fund entities;
Coordinate and arranging investor servicing activities, including investor on-boarding, capital calls, distributions as well as issuance of shareholder statements;
Supporting Senior Officers and Managers in ensuring quality work is delivered to the client;
Supporting Senior Officers and Managers with the initial setup of any new funds taken on, and liaising with independent tax specialists, lawyers, and notaries as part of the setup process;
Proactively take on additional responsibilities and tasks as required from time to time by your Senior Officers, Managers, or clients.
YOUR PROFILE:
Strong academic background;
Newly qualified/partially qualified Accountant (e.g. CPA/ACCA/CPAA/AICPA/CIMA/ACA);
Prior knowledge or experience of working in financial services, especially with alternative investment funds (including Private Equity and Real Estate funds) is desirable;
You are fluent in written and spoken English;
You possess team spirit with the ability to work independently using your own initiative when appropriate;
Ability to work under pressure and meet a range of deadlines;
You are mature, and detail-oriented;
High level of IT literacy with strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel and Word;
Knowledge of eFront and Yardi systems would be a distinct advantage.

To support this growth, they are seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced individual in the role of Chief Financial Officer.
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer will drive the company's financial health and growth through strategic leadership, insightful analysis and effective resource allocation. Partnering with the CEO and executive team, the successful individual will provide insights, intelligence and expert counsel on all financial matters, and work closely with strategic partners including banks and suppliers. They will ensure that the Finance function is optimally positioned to help the business grow, and will play the important role of transforming key procedures, policies, systems and reporting. In addition, they will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and possess a thorough understanding of financial controls and regulations.
The Position :
Develop financial strategies to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan;
Manage all aspects of the accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and financial planning; as well as cash and treasury, and cost reporting and analysis;
Provide commentary and opinion to the CEO and Board
Lead, manage and provide direction and support to the finance team to ensure they have the autonomy and resources to deliver in their respective roles;
Partner with ELT to develop effective strategies to ensure the company has systems that capture, record and systemise financial information critical to the success of the organisation, that are aligned to the company's strategic direction;
Ensure robust risk mitigation policies and procedures are in place to deliver effective management and control in all finance areas;
Coordinate the financial forecasts, business plans, budgets and financial reports in line with the company's financial performance and trends;
Provide advice and counsel to the CEO in relation to financial performance, budgeting, financial position and future cash flow requirements to ensure mitigation of any and all financial risks;
Experience:
Minimum 8 + years in an accounting leadership role, with an understanding of the business drivers and controls in a manufacturing environment;
Proven capability to lead, develop and manage a diverse finance team;
Hands on experience in preparing management and statutory consolidated accounts;
Expertise in financial modelling to enable reporting and scenario planning;
Proven experience with audits, transfer pricing, tax filing and Administration management oversight.
Capability to ensure that systems are aligned to meet the needs of the business;
Experience in partnering with and advising ELT and Boards when required;
The Person:
Undergraduate qualifications in accounting or commerce related discipline;
CA or CPA qualification preferred with broad knowledge of accounting systems
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect at all levels;
