Administrative/Accounting Assistant Jobs -- Los Angeles, California

Our Accounting Administrator jobs provide you with an opportunity to develop and manage key client relationships while you perform basic accounting and general administrative duties in support of on-site team and client. Each day, you will help drive the success of our projects by acting as the main point of contact for city accounts payable and payroll, as well as the development and maintenance of financial records and systems. You should be a self motivated professional with 2 or more years experience an accounting or related role and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each Accounting Administrator job.

Our Administrative/Accounting Assistants:

Perform basic accounting and general administrative duties in support of on-site team and client.
Act as main point of contact for billing and other accounting and payroll related activities.
Perform accounting functions that are varied in scope, according to General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Work closely with management on special projects and all business related activities.
Prepare project invoices to client, verification of accurate billing rates, markups, cost codes, review and processing of all invoices, matching of batch totals, distribution of invoices, reconciliations, following up on billing/payment issues.
Interact with subcontractors, client, and corporate accounting personnel.
Analysis and report preparation, budget vs. actual performance preparation, data development.
Display timeliness, accuracy and adequacy of assigned procurement and administration activities including recording of services and/or materials received, working with project managers and purchase order owners to identify and document current state.
Reconcile invoices against purchase orders and assist with subcontractor or vendor invoice inquiry and research.
Have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook.
Must be analytical and accustomed to working with data.
Understanding of computerized systems used for payroll and related business processes.
Are flexible, deal well with change in a stressful environment, very detail-oriented and organized, self starter, works well without supervision and have very good judgment, patient, creative, and a team player.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
3 years administrative experience, including at least 1 year in an accounting related role
