As Production Manager, you would work closely with the General Manager / Owner, Project Managers, Shop Foreman and Department Heads on a daily basis and would be in charge of the entire production process, including entering and tracking production scheduling; making any on-the-fly adjustments to the process; coordinating the ordering and receiving of raw materials with our procurement department; and coordinating installations and/or shipping of goods with project managers.

As Production Manager, you would also be responsible for making sure that the inventories of supplies are maintained at their optimal levels in order for production to proceed without interruption. With your office located on the production floor, you would utilize a Mac computer for scheduling, planning, and coordination using a well developed multi-user Filemaker Pro database, as well as email and cell phone.

As Production Manager you would also be responsible for holding monthly shop and safety meetings and in collaboration with the general manager / owner, stay informed of new production technologies and management practices which can be incorporated in the production process. If needed, additional courses to become certified in various quality and management systems would be provided for the right individual.
