Hollywood Arts Council

Hollywood Arts Council is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1978 to address the role of the arts in revitalization efforts.  With a mission to promote, nurture and support the arts of Hollywood, it has supplemented its advocacy efforts with scores of community arts projects:  concerts, art shows, photography exhibits, public art, and theatre tours.  Its Project S.O.A.R. (Students Overcoming All Risks) After School Art Workshops brings professional artists into six elementary schools in the greater Hollywood area and serves nearly 1,500 children each year.  It's annual Children's Festival of the Arts is in its 27th year and is held at Paramount Pictures attracting over 3,000 for a day of performances and art making.
