Are you looking for the first big break into the Supply Chain field?   Here at Ace Hardware, our Supply Chain Replenishment Planners are an integral part of our Supply Chain and Merchandising Departments.  This highly visible role strikes a positive balance between analytical skills and customer service. This is your entry point into a cutting edge supply chain organization of the largest hardware cooperative.   

Key responsibilities include:

  • To maintain targeted inventory levels for our fourteen U.S. distribution centers. This includes the ongoing analysis of various business factors including past and present retail performance, seasonality, and annual promotions to aid you in forecasting future sales and the replenishment of merchandise for these facilities.
  • To address customer service concerns from Retailers, Field Staff, and cross-functional departments. 
  • To partner closely with Merchants to develop and manage our business strategies to drive sales and optimize our inventory investment.
  • To manage all aspects of supply chain product procurement, which includes execution of purchase orders and expediting freight to the final destination for 100+ vendors and $75M in average sales. 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Economics or another highly analytical area
  • Strong analytical, organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self motivated and able to work independently or in a group
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to balance multiple projects
  • PC literacy within all Microsoft applications, advanced knowledge of Excel and Access is a plus. 
  • SAP, JDA Demand, JDA Fulfillment, E3 and/or AWR are a plus
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
