The Helm Society


Josh Klenoff founded The Helm Society in January of 2013. We are a peer-networking group for CEOs and Executive leaders all around the country. We host small half-day gatherings several times a month and very large CEO retreats twice a year. Our website can give you more information.

At the Helm Society, the world’s top entrepreneurs and CEOs are invited to CEO Roundtables and other exclusive world class gatherings facilitated by our team. Among the leaders of our Society is Marshall Goldsmith, perhaps the world's most recognized leadership coach.


We are located in White Plains, New York, approximately 30 minutes from Manhattan.


As a Helm Society intern, you'll have the opportunity to focus on aspects of our business that engage your passions, talents and career goals, while getting coached and building key skills in the process.


You can focus on any of the areas below or get experience in each of the areas below. Role will vary and its very entrepreneurial.


1.     Operations

You will manage—or assist someone else in managing-- the spreadsheet and correspondences for projects such as recruiting, roundtables, retreats, and internal training. events,


2. Research

We invite CEOs of great companies. You will choose from our list of companies, while having the freedom to approach companies you greatly respect, as well (provided they satisfy our criteria). You'll oversee outreach and our ongoing relationship with such companies and their CEO.


3. Crafting strategy and execution plans.

We continually assimilate feedback from our CEO clients. In addition, we seek perspective and feedback on various areas of our business from interns.


4. Developing  and executing our Social Media & Marketing strategies

If you're comfortable with or seek to build your skills with facebook, twitter, pinterest, linkedin and other social media, you'll have endless opportunity to do that here.

You’ll get incomparable real world entrepreneurial experience and an introduction to starting a company with an established entrepreneur.


Excellent oral and written communication skills

Energetic and motivated work ethic


Adaptable – ready and willing to take on a wide variety of tasks

Understands MS Word and Excel, Google Drive, and Basecamp

Preferred Apple product proficiency, but not necessary

We seek an ambitious, resourceful, hard-working individual available to start work as early as possible in August, preferably mid-August, for the fall semester.

Interns will have the opportunity to receive college credit and will be given a letter of recommendation upon completion of internship (no financial compensation). Introductions to

potential employers-- where appropriate-- may also be possible.
