Apollo Teaching Services

Apollo Teaching Services was founded in 2006 by an experienced teacher and recruitment consultant. We are committed to improving the quality of supply teaching services across Wales and firmly believe that supply teachers should be able to provide a service that does not deter from the quality of teaching that pupils enjoy and that schools expect.

We are proud to say that we personally interview each and every teacher ourselves, follow up all references and work closely with the GTCW and we ensure that all our teachers more than match the exacting regulatory standards as set out by the DFES.

Our team has expanded with growing supply demands from the schools we service and we can confidently say, we are the only teaching agency that has an experienced teacher; recruitment consultant; schools’ supply coordinator; finance officer and a sales executive fronting the Apollo team. We feel that this gives us a great insight into the needs of a school in that we can observe the perspective from every angle.

REC Audited Education has won support from recruiters around the UK with Apollo Teaching Services becoming the first recruitment business in Wales to be awarded the status.

Launched in May 2013, the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC)’s Audited Education scheme provides quality assurance of recruitment agencies that supply teaching and non-teaching staff to schools, academies and education providers across England and Wales.

Faith Olding, Company Director of Apollo Teaching Services, said: “This award is the culmination of the hard work the team at Apollo Teaching Services has undertaken over the last few years. In our industry, having rigorous procedures in place to safeguard students and to optimise educational progress is essential in relation to supplying the best service to our schools and ultimately to learners.”

REC Audited Education is an innovative product that was devised with the help of a number of education experts and with the support of the recruitment industry. An advisory panel has been formed to ensure that the standard is a living product that can be adapted to meet the ever changing needs and demands of the education sector.

REC CEO Kevin Green said: “It is fantastic to see how much UK recruiters value REC Audited Education and we look forward to working with our industry and education stakeholders to drive forward best practice and safe-guarding in the education sector in 2014 and beyond. To be awarded the badge, recruitment agencies have to prove they are not just compliant with all necessary legislation and regulations but that they operate the very best practice.”
