Direct Sales Representative



The Sales Representative is responsible for acquiring new business opportunities. Our trained sales team focuses on selling voice and data products: local, long distance and internet services. As a managed service provider, Cbeyond focuses on helping small businesses succeed and develop through high-performance technology, superior services and world-class support.


Our Sales Representatives evaluate the market, generate and develop leads, contact prospects, set appointments and take a consultative approach to determine how customers’ needs can be met appropriately. This direct sales opportunity audits the prospect's system, considers alternatives, prepares professional proposals, directs winning presentations, writes orders, and closes sales.

  • Contact prospective customers through a combination of telephone and in person contacts, networking and referrals to obtain appointments.
  • Make sales calls to determine customer needs, gain information, and discuss viable  solutions
  • Design a tailored, cost-effective telecommunications solution and sales plan for the account.
  • Prepare and present the solution in a professional manner using the available resources.
  • Write and submit accurate and timely orders following the established sales process.
  • Contribute to sales meetings and sales training as directed.
  • Maintain relations with contacts and lead sources

Desired Skills & Experience



  • Must hold a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation and auto insurance
  • Must pass a criminal and motor vehicle background check

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to convincingly persuade others as evidenced in personal interviews and via telephone.

  • Computer literacy (i.e., Excel, Word, email, Internet)
  • Meeting and exceeding monthly quotas
