Is a College Education within Your Reach?

Many students and other people would love the chance to get a college education.  After all, you will have a better chance of competing in today’s job market by having a little more knowledge under your belt.  However, while there may be an emphasis on going to college, not everyone might feel that a higher education is within their reach.  Finances may be the primary issue for most people but there are some other factors too.

I believe most, if not all, people would agree that the opportunity to pursue a higher education belongs to anyone who wants it.  This idea is shared by Shai Reshef, President of University of the People, in the following TED Talks video.  He believes in people achieving their dreams of higher education worldwide and talks about the problems getting one today.  Reshef also presents a potential solution to overcome them.
