Marsheila J. Hayes, Talent Acquisition Project Manager at Gannett

Marsheila J. Hayes (@MarsheilaJHayes) is a proud Tennessee State University alum and currently serves as the Talent Acquisition Project Manager for Gannett Co., Inc.

She started with Gannett in 2008 as a Talent Development Program participant working as a digital sales specialist for the Tallahassee Media Group. After working in Tallahassee for over two years, Marsheila joined the digital sales team at the Tennessean Media Group in Nashville, TN as an account manager. A few months later, Marsheila joined 1100 Broadway, the digital marketing agency housed within the Tennessean, as a fulfillment specialist and later as an account and project manager.

In her new role, she works with the Talent Acquisition and Diversity team to improve upon recruitment strategies targeting millenials as well as manages the social media outlets for Gannett Careers. She is primary coordinator for Gannett’s Talent Development and College Recruiting programs and serves as a mentor for the USA TODAY and Gannett Digital intern groups.

Marsheila’s primary goal is to channel her passion for people into the diversity strategies that maintain Gannett’s commitment to reflecting the communities that that the company serves.

Each of the three #truCollegeRecruiter events are aimed at corporate recruiters and other talent acquisition leaders who are involved in the hiring of college and university students and recent graduates as well as complementary technology developers and vendors. The events will allow attendees in the college relations space to meet and network in an informal environment with today’s most innovative thought leaders. You’ll enjoy a fast-paced, engaging, and challenging learning experience, all while having a good time.
