Google Fighting Back Against Scammers

Desperate times create desperate people. And the economy has created a lot of desperate people over the past couple of years. Unfortunately, desperate people created by desperate times also sometimes fall prey to vultures. I don’t know how these scum sleep at night or how they rationalize ripping off anyone but certainly not people who are suffering.
Fortunately, one of the good guys is coming to the rescue and their efforts will reduce — but not eliminate — the number of on-line frauds being committed against people who are looking for jobs and other ways to make money. Google just announced that it has become very proactive in shutting down the myriad of sites promoting schemes using language such as, “Use Google to Make 1000s of Dollars!” or “Easy Cash with Google: You Could be Making up to $978 a Day Working from Home!”

To help eliminate these sites, Google is suing the entities which own them, removing their web page addresses (URL’s) from the Google search results, and terminating the accounts of pay-per-click advertising AdWord owners which promote the sites. Way to go, Google!
