What a Shock! New Grads are Finding Jobs.
Since 2003, the unemployment rate amongst new college graduates has decreased from about three to a little over two percent. Why?
- The improving economy has forced/encouraged more employers to hire more college students and recent graduates.
- The war has forced/encouraged the military and other areas of the federal government to hire more college students and recent graduates.
- Baby Boomers are starting to retire, forcing/encouraging more employers to hire more college students and recent graduates.

Bottom line: it is a great job market for college students and recent graduates.
