FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (March 26, 2009) - CollegeRecruiter.com, the leading job board for college students hunting for internships and recent graduates looking for entry level jobs and other career opportunities, announced today that its founder, Steven Rothberg, is amongst the first business executives to be included in ExecTweets, a new third-party service that helps Twitter monetize and turn its huge amount of data into something useful for business users.

ExecTweets compiles the postings to Twitter (tweets) made by top executives in various industries. ExecTweets distributes to its users the tweets from dozens of executives including Amazon.com's Werner Vogels, Virgin's Richard Branson, eBay's Pierre Omidyar, Digg's Jay Adelson and Kevin Rose, Twitter's Evan William, Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, and CollegeRecruiter.com's Steven Rothberg.

According to VentureBeat, business users will be more likely to access Twitter indirectly through ExecTweets than directly through Twitter because:

  1. ExecTweets encourages readers to vote for tweets which are good. The more votes a tweet gets, the more prominently it is displayed on the main page of ExecTweets.
  2. The Top Links section allows readers to see what web sites are referred to by the executives. The thinking behind that section is that business users will find it of interest to know what content high level executives read and find interesting.
  3. The Hot Topics area shows at a glance the most popular keyword phrases being tweeted by the executives.

"I was thrilled to learn that the tweets that I post daily and sometimes multiple times per day to Twitter.com/StevenRothberg will receive added exposure from this great new service," said Rothberg. "Twitter is the fastest growing social media site on the planet and is well integrated with other high traffic social media sites such as Facebook. It has grown from being a curiosity to being a phenomenal business tool. And the features provided by ExecTweets will allow those of us who a lot of post business-related content to Twitter to gain even more exposure from our efforts."

The plan for ExecTweets, according to its marketing manager, Matthew DiPietro, is to generate revenue from its existing and future sponsorships and other deals and then share some of that revenue with Twitter.
