Terese Corey Blanck offers unique expertise in college student development combined with in-depth knowledge of post-college business employment needs. For the past twenty plus years, she has worked closely with college students and recent college graduates in helping to identify their skills and desires, assessing and helping to direct their educational and career paths, and enhancing both their personal development and career employability.

Terese was inspired to launch College to Career when she opened and managed the Minneapolis office of a specialty-niche staffing firm that matched recent college graduates with employers such as Target, Wells Fargo Bank, and Best Buy. Through this work, she discovered that many recent graduates left school not knowing what they wanted to do much less having prepared themselves to do so. Simply stated, many had spent five or more years in college only to graduate without having taken the proper courses and having had the requisite experiences necessary to find personal and professional fulfillment. In response to this unmet need, Terese founded College to Career, to offer students career coaching and guidance before and during college, that they need to succeed after college.

Receiving her Masters of Education degree in College Student Development from Colorado State University, Ms. Corey Blanck spent the next twelve years working for small, private universities and large public universities in the area of Student Affairs. She was the Assistant Director of Student Life at Hofstra University in New York before returning to Minnesota to be the Associate Program Director and the Associate Director of Residence Life at the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas, respectively. A frequent speaker on college campuses, she has also presented at major conferences on the topic of college student development.

Transitioning from the educational to the business sector, Terese worked as a sales representative for a Fortune 100 company as well as a recruiter for a small technology firm. After six years in recent college graduate specialty staffing, she became the director of new business development for a company providing college students with pre-graduation internships in the Minneapolis / Saint Paul business community.

Terese founded College to Career in January 2003. College to Career offers high school and college students Custom Career Exploration^TM by answering the question “Where do I fit in the world of work?”

A South Dakota native now living in Minnesota, Terese graduated from Minnesota State University in Mankato. She is also a licensed teacher. Terese is married and has one daughter.
