Robert E. Jones is the Recruiting Manager for the Specialized Technology Recruiting Group of Sherpa, LLC, a specialized recruiting firm. Sherpa places candidates at all levels in all areas of industry, including banking, retail, hospitals, and utilities but Sherpa specializes in placing mid-level candidates with salaries ranging from $50,000 to $125,000 in the accounting, finance, and information technology industries.

In 1993, Robert started the technology group for the Information Technology Division, a large international staffing firm. That firm has 250 offices worldwide, and Robert ranked 4th and 5th in the world for I.T. placements in 1995 and 1996. Robert's group ranked first in the world for total I.T. placements in 1997, placing over 150 I.T. professionals in permanent positions that year.

From 1999-2002, Robert completed another successful start-up operation at a local staffing firm serving technology and financial needs throughout the greater metropolitan area of Charlotte, North Carolina and the rest of the southeastern United States. Robert now brings this expertise to Sherpa in both permanent placements and project-related needs. Robert's focus is on placing candidates with skills in information technology areas such as Oracle, Sybase, BAAN, Peoplesoft, SAP, and Lawson. The candidates Robert works with are often I.T. auditors, project managers, software developers, database administrators, data architects, system/data security specialists, business analysts, and quality assurance professionals. He also works with candidates who work in positions in voice and data telecommunications and networks.
