Question:
I am applying for my second job out of college. It has been 2 plus years since graduation. Should I include my GPA on my resume next to my two degrees?
Answer:
No-- unless you are replying to a job posting that requires it.
As with everything you put on a resume, you need to answer the question "Does it relate to the job?". Your resume is used to communicate the most important information about you and your skills in relation to the job. Any other information can only be used against you.
If a job doesn't require a superior GPA, what does it tell the employer if
you emphasize that you had the highest GPA in your class? What if you have a
GPS of 3.2--- what message might be received by the hiring manager reading
that? No matter how excellent the information, it really won't matter unless
it relates specifically to doing the job well.
Avoid putting more information on the resume than is absolutely necessary.
Personal information like hobbies, names and ages of children or any other
kind of information that doesn't relate to the job does not belong on a
resume.
