I'm thinking of working abroad for a couple of years after graduation. When I return, will employers look favorably upon this kind of experience?

Answer:

I do not see a downside. Working in a foreign country shows that you can adapt to new environments and can communicate with people different that yourself. But remember, you must understand the upside and communicate that well in the application and interview process upon your return home.
