I work for a well known non-profit organization. Because of my current
supervisor, I have experienced a great deal of stress and have even had to
see a doctor. I have also witnessed and have documented several accounts of
unethical behavior on the part of my supervisor. I would like to leave
the company and have talked to my supervisors supervisor regarding this
matter. I want to ask for a severence payment. What should I do?

Talk to an attorney first. It would likely be best to settle the issue with
your employer one-on-one. But seeking legal counsel before approaching your
employer will help you think about all the options available to you.
