Ask the Experts:
What to Include in the Body of an E-mailed Resume/b>
Question:
When I send my resume via e-mail, what should I include in the body of
the message?
Answer:
Just like an offline resume, you need a strong positioning statement.
Ideally, you want the statement to precisely match what you know the
employer wants. For example, if the job posting is for an Editor, you will
want to submit your resume as an "Editor". You would not want to say
"Writer" or "Journalist" because that is not what the employer has posted.
Always compose your resume to the needs of the employer.
