You could say that I am passionate about the subject - I eat, drink, and sleep the subject. I have interviewed thousands of people and have watched them make major mistakes and lose the job to someone else. Although I wanted to help them, I couldn't because I was on the other side of the desk. When I returned to grad school in 1993 to pursue my Master's degree, I made a decision to change what I did because I wanted to help people. I love having the ability of making a difference in people's lives.

As an interview expert for Monster.com for the last three years, I have been able to reach out to millions of people with my articles and advice. I coach people from every walk of life and industry, and I receive tons of kudos telling me how much I have helped them and what a difference my coaching and my workbook have made to them.

• I have 18 years of Human Resources/Staffing Experience in numerous industries-- biotechnology, software engineering, high tech, publishing, consulting, sales, aerospace, non-profit, and outplacement; Fortune 500's, as well as start ups and everything in-between.
• I am certified by two different companies in Behavioral Interviewing Techniques.
• I have a Master's degree in Career Counseling from John F. Kennedy University.
• I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications from San Jose State, CA.
• I am certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by The Human Resources Certification Institute.
• I have Coaches Training from Coaches Training Institute.
• I have been The Interview Expert for Monster.com for the last three years, writing articles, leading chat rooms, and hosting the interview message board.

I have encountered many of life's "speed bumps" and lived enough life to know that sometimes you have to work hard just to keep on going. You have to put one foot in front of the other and keep on walking. I know that when you, or perhaps someone close to you, has lost a job, that is the time you need support from people who care.

My motto is, "Life's uncertain, eat dessert first." My attitude is, "It's never too late to make a change." (I achieved my first degree at age 40!)
