Carol R. Anderson holds an MBA in Finance from Rutgers and a BA in English from Wittenberg. Her first career was in book publishing, including positions as Business Manager for the College Division of Random House and Director of Business and Operations for a division of Simon & Schuster; she also held a Group Controller position in the financial information services industry. Her nonprofit experience includes three years as Chair of the Finance Committee for Habitat for Humanity Newark (NJ).
In 1996 she began a career transition, studying Adult Career Planning and Development at New York University and working as a Career Advisor for a nonprofit provider of outplacement services to displaced professionals. In 1997, she joined Drake Beam Morin, the largest career management firm in the world, as Lead Consultant in their Parsippany, NJ office.

Since 1998, Carol has been Director, Career Development and Placement for the Robert J. Milano Graduate School of Management and Urban Policy at New School University in New York City. At this professional graduate school she assists early and mid-career students in career strategy and decision making. She also has a private practice in career transition services. |
Carol's expertise is in guiding the development of a career focus and skills portfolio to foster career resilience in a global marketplace. She has extensive experience with diverse students and adults with foreign credentials, changing careers, or re-entering the workforce. She is the creator of numerous workshops on job search strategy, including Make Age Irrelevant in Your Job Search and The Strategic Use of Interim Employment. In 1999, she brought together a diverse panel of professionals who modeled for students how to utilize their multilingual, multicultural, successfully adaptive backgrounds to succeed in their professions.
