Knowing thyself or self-understanding is the foundation for a good career decision. Without it, you are just winging it. Without going through this process, you could easily end up among the "unhappily" employed. Why are there so many people that are unhappily employed? I ask you that question. Why do you think they're unhappy? Maybe they just didn't take the time to investigate their options or to plan their future or recognize that there is a way to figure it out. But, now you know, that it's more than just sitting on the bleachers waiting for the game to begin. I encourage you to start playing by logging onto the web or finding a counselor, an agency or a community college that offers you the option of finding out more about yourself. Remember it doesn't have to be a hit or miss kind of thing for you.
